SCOFMP Aviation Operations

Fire aviation assets are located in Klamath Falls and Lakeview Oregon. Situated in a corner of Kingsley Field (the Klamath Falls airport) the Klamath Falls Airtanker Base covers 12 acres and has:

  • two heavy airtankers
  • four parking pads for heavy airtankers
  • two 3,500 square foot office buildings
  • 1,200 square foot warehouse
  • large tank farms for storing water and fire retardent.

This webcam is located at the Klamath Falls Interagency Fire Center, Kingsley Field, Klamath Falls, Oregon.

The view is west overlooking the ramp where air tankers are parked and reloaded during fire season.

Operating out of the Lake County airport in Lakeview Oregon is the Lakeview Interagency Helitack Crew and Single Engine Airtanker (SEAT) base. (more photos)

The helitack crew consists of eighteen wildland firefighters working with an exclusive-use Bell 206L-3 LongRanger contracted from Rogers Helicopters, Inc. The helibase has one office and parking for several helicopters. The SEAT base has one office, a storage building and parking for several single engine airtankers. SEAT operations are also conducted out of the Paisley airstrip, north of Lakeview.
